Prof. Artur R. Stefankiewicz

He was born in Gniezno, Poland, in 1981. He received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry in 2005 from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, under the supervision of Prof. Wanda Radecka-Paryzek. During his M.Sc. studies he was an Erasmus-Socrates exchange student at the University of Strasbourg (six months), where he worked under the supervision of Nobel laureate Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn in the Institute of Science and Supramolecular Engineering (ISIS). He received a Marie Curie PhD Fellowship and entered University of Strasbourg in October 2005 and was awarded a PhD in June 2009 for his work in the field of metallosupramolecular chemistry with the focus on grid-type architectures under the supervision of Prof. Lehn. In September 2009 he joined the research group of Prof. Jeremy K. M. Sanders at the University of Cambridge as a Ministry of Defence research associate where he worked on molecular recognition using a dynamic combinatorial approach. In July 2013 he received a „Homing Plus” grant from The Foundation for Polish Science and moved back to Poland to set-up his independent research group as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In June 2014 he obtained his habilitation degree for his work on „Application of supramolecular and dynamic covalent chemistries in the development of complex chemical assemblies”. In October 2014 he received scholarship from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists conducting high-quality research and with impressive scientific achievements. From 2020 he is a Full Professor of Physical Sciences. His research interests include supramolecular chemistry, physical organic chemistry, dynamic combinatorial chemistry and construction of functional nanostructures.
